Taree is 317km or approximately three hours drive north of Sydney and two hours drive north of Newcastle.
ParkingParking with 24-hour security will be available at Taree Showground during the ride, enabling you to find your car safe and sound when you return to Taree on the last day of the ride. There will be a charge of $25 payable at the gates for the week’s parking. If you are doing the half ride the cost is $15.

If anyone is driving to/from Taree and willing to have some company for the ride or needs a lift please call Bec on 9218 5413 or email her at rgibson@bicyclensw.org.au to register your details. This service will be set up by Bicycle NSW however once we put drivers in contact with passengers it is your responsibility to follow it up.
You can also purchase bike transportation if you wish to make the trip independently of your bike here.

Peter from The Pegasus Crew is looking for someone who can drive a 1 tonne van and bike trailer to the start from Melbourne. Going up - 4 to 6 seats, space for 1 tandem and up to 5 bikes. Return - 3 to 5 seats, same bike accomodation. Contact Peter 0427200533. Peter will be travelling from Turramurra to Taree on Saturday morning and returning Tuesday afternoon (first 4 days of Big Ride only). At this stagehe is travelling on his own.
